ALBERT MAYSLES' IN TRANSIT

Sitting on the platform of Harlem's 125th Street train station, Albert talks about IN TRANSIT, the unfinished documentary he's been working on for 30 years, filming his fellow passengers on trains around the world as they share the stories behind their journeys.

A pioneer of cinéma vérité-- which Maysles refers to as direct cinema-- the legendary filmmaker has revolutionized documentary film with such masterpieces as SALESMAN, GIMME SHELTER, and GREY GARDENS, allowing audiences to observe reality as it happens.
